Fr. Peter Dimyan​

Father Peter Dimyan was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was baptized and raised at St George’s Church in Brooklyn, NY at the hands of the Very Reverend Father, Hegumen Mina Yanni. He also served for a brief time at St Anianus’ Church in Princeton, NJ, at the time of its inception, under the guidance of the Reverend Father Michael Sorial.
 

Father Peter graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree from the City College of New York and began his career working as a heavy construction consultant with AECOM. He later became a Construction Manager with Tishman/AECOM and worked on the rebuilding of the One World Trade Center Building.
 

Father Peter was called to the Priesthood and was ordained on May 10, 2014 to Archangel Michael and St Mena's Church in Staten Island, NY. In 2019, with the blessings of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Fr. Peter began serving as the priest of St. Augustine and St. Monica Coptic Orthodox Church, where he has been welcomed by its culturally diverse and loving congregation.

Father Peter is completing his Masters of Arts in Theology at St Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and is married to Lydia Dimyan, and has 2 beloved children- Ethan Augustine and David Cyril Dimyan.
